Cow Pie Electricity

This is cool. A Vermont Dairy Farm collects its manure and turns it into electricity - which it sells to the neighboring community. How cool is that? It powers about 400 homes.

This could actually work for alot of rural Idaho and Utah communities. What do you think, Bo?

Check it out here.

Welcome aboard!

This article talks about a similar concept:

Human Feces Powers Rwandan Prison

Imagine if everyone had a Mr. Fusion in the toilets of their home and office, allowing the world to be powered by a natural cycle.

That would be awesome. But if you get stopped up your lights might go out.

I woke up thinking about a blog idea focused on renewable energy. Treehugger.com already does something similar with a broader subject matter. I'm thinking about something along the lines of a Life Hacker site that informs people of the little things they can do everyday to reduce their energy consumption and/or increase their reliance on renewable energy sources. Google ad supported and maybe even eventually some e-commerce for solar panels, windmills, programmable thermostats etc.
